Room mates, wandering and the bread of the year!

The first night I slept in the same room with a Chinese boy and a Chinese girl coming from Shanghai, doing a European trip. During chatting they confirmed that people in China really have no say in politics. By the way they aren’t that well informed about what their government is doing.

In the morning I met/talked to a Colombian girl while both of us were taking a shower. Later we continued our chatting but it was hard to communicate efficiently since I speak no Spanish and her English was…insufficient to understand me well. Her French even more so. By the way, the sun rises and sets approximately an hour later than in Budapest so even at 8:53 the panorama from a window of the hostel is like this:

While looking for the university (Sciences Po) without signal reception and internet connection, having only an underground map in my hand I was wandering around close to it without finding it for about an hour (later I found a splendid map of all the streets in Paris on the other side of the underground map).

After some kind of formal welcome programme I bought my first French baguette! I ate it with some bread spread made out of white cheese. The reaction is shown in the video.

I don’t know whether I just found the bread of the year or I was simply hungry after having no time to eat since breakfast. But facts are facts so it was really crunchy as you can hear. I will eat lots of baguettes here in France!
